Valentine's Day Mantel, Teal & Red

What's shakin', lovelies?

I did a little bit of Valentine's Day decorating the other day.  I mixed in a little teal in with my standard Valentine's Day red decor.  I even used some Christmas stuff... say what?!

Shh, don't tell!

I also made a big crazy heart "button" for my picture to tell you what it is in case you couldn't tell.  Nice, huh.

I did some pretty easy stuff for my mantel, wanted to keep it simple and didn't want to buy anything or make anything.  Ain't nobody got time for that.  At least I don't right now...

Well, actually I must admit that I got this "Love will keep us together" sign this year.  But I got it from Kohls with a gift card and a coupon, it was $7 after the coupon but free because I had a gift card... whoopee!

I used my Christmas tree ribbon (1 point Kate for reusing a Christmas item that was headed to the basement) and added the heart chain that I got at the dollar store a few years back to beef up the ribbon.

I also kept out my red chevron pillows that I used for Christmas. They work great for Valentine's Day too! Plus, I left my burlap and red net ribbon bow on my lantern stand, I took off the greenery and jingle bells, no one will ever know it was used for Christmas, right?  (2 points for re-using more Christmas items!)

I got this banner a few years ago on Groopdealz(??) maybe.  It was really cheap.  But then again, it also cost about .02 cents to make.  But, once again, ain't nobody got time for that.

My friend Angela made me this super cute heart out of screen and then painted it.  Screen, people!!  Like the kind in your window to keep the bugs out.  I did not know that screen could be made to look so cute.  She is a true artist and you should check out her stuff at her Etsy shop.   (not getting paid for this, just sharing a talented friend's stuff).

Did you notice the screen heart is hung from more of my Christmas aka: Valentine's Day ribbon.  POINT!!

Do you sneak any of your Christmas stuff into your Valentine's Day decor??  I'd love to hear about it if you do.

Well, before I wrap this up I want to let you know I'm doing this way cool giveaway...
