Hi, I'm Kate. I'm a blogger (obviously), mom, wife, bargain shopper, travel lover, DIYer and Interior Decorator. I love to live the good life with out busting my budget. When I started this blog I focused mostly on budget-friendly decorating and DIY. Now that I've been at this for awhile, I've expanded into budget-friendly lifestyle tips as well.
How did this all start?
Well, when I quit my corporate job to become a stay-home mom several years ago I had to make a lot of adjustments in my shopping habits. My Pottery Barn-esque tastes didn't change even though my budget did. Having been a bargain shopper all my life, I quickly realized that with a little creativity I could still have a beautiful and stylish home even on a shoestring budget.
Besides figuring out how to decorate my house on the cheap, I also had to learn how to save money on other parts of life, clothes, travel and entertainment being big ones. We love to eat out and travel and what girl doesn't love new clothes! But, obviously these things can add up quick. I've learned how to do these things on a budget too and love to help other families live life to the fullest without giving up the "fun stuff" or going into debt.
My hubby (who a reader affectionately named "Mr. Chic") is a great woodworker (lucky me!) He and I have become DIY enthusiasts taking on all kinds of projects fixing up our house without busting our budget.

I'm so happy you're here, I hope you'll stick around... you can "Follow" me in my side bar or subscribe via email. My Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter buttons are in the sidebar too. Feel free to ask me questions, I try to answer every email I receive.
It was nice to meet you, hope you'll come back soon!
xo,
Kate
