Murphy's Law

Hello friends,  in a string of unfortunate events I have been unable to blog.  I guess I could blog but haven't accomplished much to blog about.  Because I haven't been doing much I thought I'd share some pretty pictures with you from Pinterest and such but then I decided I should be real.

Because I'm sure you've had a string of unfortunate events at one time or another too.

Doesn't it make you feel better that you're not the only one??

Ok, in keeping it real, here it goes...

My unfortunate events consisted of Mr. Chic's car breaking down and needing an expensive $$ repair.

Our washing machine that is only 2 years old (2 YEARS OLD!) breaking down and leaking water all over the laundry room floor and surely needing some expensive $$ repair that hasn't been done yet.

Mr. Chic's glasses breaking randomly (more $$ to buy new ones)...

All the same week that our expensive $$$$ property taxes are due (along with our car insurance and license plate renewals which is good for several hundred more bucks, sigh)...

This has left me a bit frazzled with little spare time (and even less money!).

Why do all these annoying things always happen at once?

These things are supposed to happen in 3's so the good news is I should be done.

Am I the only one living out Murphy's Law right now?

I doubt it.

Has something like this ever happened to you?

Probably.

Everyone goes through times like these.

Although these things are just darn annoying, they make me grateful that there is nothing really wrong in my life.  I have a healthy beautiful family who I love more than words, I feel blessed beyond belief.

These annoyances are just bumps in the road.  Hopefully I'm heading for smooth pavement soon. :)

  1. So so sorry to hear of your string of bad events. And, yes... I too have been having that type of year! I keep reminding myself that things will get better... sooner hopefully than later. 3. So sorry to hear that you've hit such a rough patch! If it makes you feel any better, my dogs have fleas AGAIN. Ew ew ew. I'm frustrated beyond reason because they've never had them before, but then we moved here and BAM! Fleas two times in under 2 months.

  4. Oh that does stink! Soon though this will pass and you'll laugh about that weird week where everything seemed to go wrong. Stay positive, and know that you are blessed. Patti

  5. Oh my goodness! This stinks. That washing machine makes me cringe (but on the upside, your laundry room is drool worthy).

  6. There must be something in the air. I feel like every annual bill you can imagine has been dumped on my desk in the month of September, and I'm moving this month! And everyone and their mom is coming to visit this month. Yikes! I think it will be bananas until the holidays are over, but it makes life exciting don't you agree?

  7. Poor you!!

Yep had that kind of month too. I started to feel sorry for myself then thought about what a hard time some people are having. It made me thankful for the blessings I have.

I hope you got all of your broken things in one lump and it is clear sailing for the rest of the year!!

  9. Sorry to hear all that! I know how you feel - my car (4 months old!) got fairly badly damaged in a hail storm & it cracked my windshield. That wasn't too bad, but because the weather has been insanely hot every time I get in my car the cracks have gotten bigger! I don't yet know where I want to take my car to get it fixed, but it needs to be SOON!!!
