Yesterday it was 66 degrees here and sunny. On November 15!! This, my friends, was a miracle from God.
Did I take advantage of this lovely weather and put out the outdoor Christmas decorations like any smart person should.
Ummmm, no.
Nice going, totally blew that one.
I did have a good excuse though, my little guy was sick and he didn't even take a nap so I really didn't have the option to do it. Mr. Chic didn't get home until it was dark (since it gets dark and 5stinking-O'clock these days).
Now
Mr. Chic we'll be forced to do it in the cold November weather... unless we get really lucky and have another beautiful day like yesterday. Not holding my breath on that one...
While I should've been decorating outside I was pinning inside, some lovely Christmas porch ideas. Here are a few of my faves....

Just Beautiful! |

Something besides little Christmas trees in outdoor pots. |
 |
I'm pretty sure this is a catalog pic but I heart it anyway. :) |
 |
Beautiful! |
 |
I LOVE these lanterns but are you really gonna light lanterns every night? (especially when it's freezing outside!) |
 |
The trees have citrus fruit as ornaments, how clever! And I love the grapevine throughout, I'm a sucker for decorative sticks. :)
|
 |
Simple and classy.
|
 |
LOVE this too, wish I had room for a bench on my porch. |
 |
A nice twist on Christmas colors.
|
 |
Darlling present topiaries and I like the holly garland instead of pine greenery for a change. |
 |
Deep red with green, really makes a statement.
|
|
If you have a red front door you really luck out at Christas time, this looks fabulous!
|
 |
Cute and rustic (and blurry!) |
 |
Tons of lights!! Classy Clark Griswold style lights. :)

Hope I've inspired you to get those lights out before the weather goes South... for some of us I think it already has!
Have you got your Christmas lights out yet??
Gorgeous! I was so excited about putting up a swag this year and my husband just informed me that he doesn't like them! I was devastated. Now I'm on the hunt for non-swag decorations (but the discussion on the swag is not closed).
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful inspirational pictures! They all look like they belong in a magazine! I love the first one the last one and the one with the present topiaries...that is too cute! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

Love them all but no. 4 is my favorite.
ReplyDeletethanks for the inspiration
Thank you so much for the inspiration! We have just painted our front doors and I have been searching for ideas to decorate outside for Christmas. I'll be sure to add swags this year, take care, Sally from Enlightenment for the sleepy xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the greenery and ornaments in the flower boxes.
ReplyDeletePlans are in full swing....but will have to wait until Thanksgiving weekend. Need to leave fall porch in tact for guests :) Forecast calls for snow here this weekend so it is going to be a cold day of putting up Christmas lights. I'll watch my husband from inside the house :)
ReplyDeleteWell--- Looking at these entry way pictures are inspiring-especially the ones with the snow! Lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm your newest follower and love for you to visit my blog and become friends!
I just adore all of those gorgeous pins! I am going to have to repin a couple of these...I can't believe I haven't seen them yet!
ReplyDeleteMy weekly Pinterest link up is on now so if you have 5 minutes please pop by. I would be so thrilled if you could link up this great post!
I'll see you soon for your linky party!
Best wishes,

I am so busy making props and costumes for a current project, that I have not had time to work out what I am going to do for Christmas yet, let alone get started.
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect post for my Wednesday Pinterest favorites. Come on over and link up! We are thinking of not even putting up Christmas lights this year. We didn't take them down until, oh July...when we finally got a letter from our HOA telling us they needed to come down. Classy, I know.
ReplyDeleteI love the title of your post...ha ha. Made me laugh! Following you also ;)
