Farmhouse Christmas Kitchen, Merry & Bright Holiday Home Tour Part 2

Hello!  Welcome to part two of the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Tour. This week I'm featuring my cozy kitchen decor.  Last week I shared my "fancy" living room and you can see that here.  The kitchen is much more casual with more of a modern farmhouse feel.  We added a shiplap accent wall a few weeks ago and I love to decorate it for every season.

This year I used a lot of galvanized metal, red and black buffalo check and cotton stems. I made this little arrangement out of cotton stems and pine picks that I already had.  I did pick up the cute tin that reminds me of an olive bucket. (similar found here)

The waterless snowglobe is from the dollar spot at Target. My youngest son loves it and shakes it up all the time to make it "snow". :)

My husband made the big wooden art piece the wreath is hanging on, it makes a great wreath holder and anchor piece so I leave it up all year.  He also made the table it's sitting on out of reclaimed wood and shiplapped the wall for me.  He's pretty much a stud.

My friends got me several Magnolia pieces for my birthday this year.  They did good, huh!?  Cotton and buffalo check, two of my favorites this season.

These galvanized metal houses hold tea lights, they are so fun!

While I love this wall it is so hard to get a good picture of it in the winter months but you get the idea hopefully. :)

I have two farmhouse metal chairs flanking my reclaimed wood console table but they usually get cut off in my pictures of this wall. Of course they get dressed up in pillows (because I am a pillow hoarder) but really, I can't just leave them naked in the middle of my kitchen. ;)

I've been hanging these galvanized metal snowflakes (similar found here) on my chandelier before galvanized metal was cool.  I like them because they matched my stainless steel appliances. Now they are on trend too!

My kitchen table centerpiece is probably my favorite Magnolia Home piece (similar here). I also love the red and black buffalo check table runner.

Special thanks to SmithHonig and Amara for sponsoring our tour.  Check out my new SmithHonig pillows here.   Here's a sneak peek...

And a sneak peek of my goodies from Amara.

Please head on over to M Jones Style to wrap up our tour for this week.

Chic On A Shoestring Decorating (that's me!)

Don't forget to come back next Wednesday for the final piece of our Merry & Bright Holiday Home Tour.
