I can hardly believe it's that time of the year again for the Merry & Bright Holiday Home Tour! This year has flown by and here we are at the end of November already.
This year I decided to change up my "fancy tree". If you are new here my "fancy tree" is the sparkly tree in my living room. My boys nicknamed it "mom's fancy tree" a few years ago because of all the sparkly "bling" on it and it stuck. ;-) For the past several years I'd used bronze and silver and gold (back when brown was the color a long time ago), then moved towards silver and gold for a few years. Here's a peak of it last year. This year I decided to do something totally different by adding pink!
I didn't add a whole lot of pink, just a little splash.
A couple boxes of pink ornaments added to the tree as well as some beautiful and sparkly pink ribbon.
Also, these fabulous velvet blush pink pillows that I found on clearance at TJ Maxx (my favorite place). They look much better in person, the lighting was rough today for picture taking.
My hubby (Mr.Chic) and I don't have any Christmas stockings, just our kiddos. I decided we needed some, what man doesn't need a pink Christmas stocking, am I right?!
This corner gets a little crowded at Christmas time because my big chair and it's side table usually sit where our tree is so there is normally nothing in front of this curio cabinet. I think it works for the short season to squeeze it in here. To add a little more pink to this corner I added a pretty pink candle that actually smells good too, (I bought it just for it's pretty pink color so that's a bonus!)
I love changing up my domes for the seasons. This big one holds a bottlebrush Christmas tree forest. for my Santa dressed in white. He is actually a tree ornament but he matches these bottlebrush trees so well that he just had to go in the dome this year.
Make sure you stop by all my friends and come back here next week on December 5th for part 2! A special thanks to Boho Luxe for sponsoring the Merry & Bright Holiday Home Tour!
Please go see my friend Wendy at Farmhouse Therapy. She is new to the tour this year and I hope you'll welcome her with lots of lovely comments.
